These girls are doing something called an a-nyeint. It's a bit like a sketch show. Usually done with 6 men, but not in our all-girl college(!), and one beautiful dancer to catch their eye (the girl below). Its all very slapstick and lighthearted, hitting each other with rolled up newspapers and plinkplonk xylophone sounds hitting the end of every joke. A very popular type of entertainment here.    

She wears a long skirt that drags along the floor and she dances in a way to scoop up the skirt and flick her feet out and not trip over it.
